No. Artificial grass can be installed over the existing surface. Before starting, we simply check that the floor is stable, reasonably level and that water drains correctly towards the existing outlet.
02. Will the terrace become waterlogged when it rains or there is excess water?
Not if the terrace already drains properly before installation. Artificial grass does not block the passage of water; it allows it to pass through to the surface below so it can continue towards the existing drain as it did before installation.
03. What happens if I place heavy furniture on the artificial grass?
The fibres may flatten slightly beneath furniture legs, but with high-recovery artificial grass, simply moving the furniture and brushing the area is usually enough to help the fibres return to their upright, natural-looking position.
